Central Gate Tbilisi Boutique Hotel

I planned to stay a whole month but left after one night. The basement room listed on Airbnb smelled of sewerage and mold and was dirty. I got a dirty towel and sheets, and even the toilet hadn’t been cleaned. Yes, it was brown. Street lights came through the blinds, which didn’t block them, and I could hear cars and people outside. I had to rebook elsewhere for a month at the last moment in the middle of summer. The extra costs were huge, and this ruined my summer holiday. Very disappointing.

It was okay, but not quite what I expected. The old building has been renovated, and the hotel’s in a perfect spot for visiting Tbilisi’s old town. Rooms are small but functional, and there’s an outdoor pool, though it looks bigger in photos. The walls are thin, and noisy neighbors made it hard to sleep. My ground-floor room had weak ventilation and a bad sewer smell, so I had to keep the windows open. Parking nearby is hard, but that’s normal in the city center. Some reception staff were very helpful, while others didn’t seem to care.

The staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming, and the service was amazing. We got to check in very early. Our flight was late at night, so we checked out early that day, but they let us leave our luggage and even use the pool to relax on our last day. The pool was very clean and a real blessing in central Tbilisi during summer. The hotel has a pleasant atmosphere. The rooms are small as advertised, but comfortable, with quite large beds, air conditioning, and a refrigerator in every room. We had a very pleasant stay. Good prices, and I can recommend it.

A super clean, bright room, really comfortable beds, and kind, helpful staff. You can also use the washing machine and dryer for free. The location is great value for the price: close to the lively restaurant and tourist areas, but tucked away in a quiet alley with cool artsy bars and restaurants. It’s a gem in Tbilisi, and a must visit. I can’t recommend it enough.
