Colosseo Hotel

The only real plus was being near the Metro, and they let us leave our bags after checking out at noon. The room had twin beds, and it felt more like a transient place than a hotel. They didn’t clean the room during our stay. I’d booked with Voyager Credit Card points and called ahead to check that the reservation and payment were set. The man who answered couldn’t understand me, and when I asked for someone who spoke English, he got agitated, so I ended the call. My bank said the booking was confirmed, but at arrival the receptionist said there was no reservation. Communication was difficult because she spoke little English. Tired after our flight, we paid 255 GEL for three nights without breakfast instead of looking elsewhere.

The staff treated us well and knew how to communicate in English. The hotel is well placed, so it’s easy to reach the city’s main sights. The facilities, though, weren’t satisfactory. There was no closet in the room, or any equipment for hanging our clothes.

My duplex room had wide windows, and I enjoyed staying there. The location was great, near the metro, mc donalds, traditional bazzar and exchangers. The staff only spoke basic English.

A quiet neighborhood, with daily cleaning and very helpful staff. The rooms are very reasonably priced. Seems good for families, couples, or a group of friends.
