Guest House G&M

The apartment gets very hot quickly since it’s on the top, third floor. It was 34 degrees Celsius in Tbilisi, even in the shade, and there was no internet or hot water, so our food spoiled too. The power kept going out because the electricity bill hadn’t been paid, even though Nino, the owner, had taken payment for our whole stay. For the first two days, her uncle would come and reconnect something, and the electricity would come back. On the third day, it was off again when we returned from a walk around lunchtime, and Nino had disappeared. She didn’t answer our calls. By text, she said her uncle would come turn it on, or that we’d already paid and the power would be back by 6:00 PM. At 7:00 PM, we decided to move elsewhere, told her, and asked for a refund for two nights. She agreed, then disappeared again and never returned the money. We’re still shocked by how guests were treated in what we thought was the most hospitable country.
