Historical Apartment

A nice spot to get a feel for tbilisi.

There's plenty of space for six people, and it has everything you need. It's an older apartment, but clean and full of character. Great place.

I booked an apartment two weeks ahead, but for some reason they first offered me a different one. By the time I got the apartment I had reserved, it wasn't ready to stay in and didn't match the listing. The terrace in the photo belonged to the apartment next door, not mine. Mine had only a small table and a couple of chairs, though the view from the promised terrace really was beautiful. The apartment was in very poor condition, with no TV or bathtub, and tea and coffee were only available if requested. When I raised the mismatch with the owner while booking, I was told to leave because I was asking too much. Thanks to the owners for stopping me from canceling.

The owner was extremely nice and helpful, and the location really is excellent. The sulfur baths are just 50 m below the accommodation. We stayed 12 days on a friend's recommendation, but wouldn't choose it again. The place is old, badly neglected, and full of cats. The beds were comfortable and cleanly made, but nearly everything else was falling apart. The wardrobes wouldn't close and the drawers wouldn't pull out. The kitchen was quite something: the fridge wouldn't close and had a nail hammered into it as a latch. The gas and electrical wiring were another issue altogether.
