We had a lovely terrace room, with a stunning wall of plants and flowers just outside. The hotel also worked well as a base for walking to many of the places we wanted to see, and the area felt safe. The ground-floor restaurant was very good, with delicious food and helpful service. We didn’t make it to the restaurant upstairs, though we heard good things about it. It was a very nice hotel.

The location was handy, near the Old Town and a nice bakery, and the restaurant downstairs was decent. Still, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again. My husband felt sick for the whole stay and improved as soon as we moved to another hotel. The place had an unpleasant, gloomy feel. Our standard room was tiny, dimly lit, and depressing, with dull colors. We upgraded, but that room still didn’t feel fresh or comfortable. Cleanliness was a problem too: I wiped the table with a wet wipe and it came away filthy. The pillows were uncomfortable, and water splashed everywhere from the bathroom sink. The AC was awful. The hotel had switched the central system to heating after some guests said they were cold, but no one told us at check-in. We spent hours wondering why the room kept getting hotter before finally asking. They should have explained the change when we arrived.

They gave us the room right away even though we arrived before check-in time. I was celebrating my birthday, and they surprised me with a nice piece of cake in the room. The staff were always kind and helpful, and the room was cleaned and its amenities replenished every day. The location couldn’t be better. We stayed October 24-27, and I’d definitely come back. I highly recommend the hotel. Claudia

The room was smaller than I expected. It was fine for me as a solo traveler or for a short visit, but a couple or someone with lots of luggage might find it cramped. The space was arranged well and still felt comfortable. The hotel was clean and well maintained, with excellent amenities for the price. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the location was perfect, close to everything I needed. I had a lovely stay and would definitely return.

The hotel was very elegant, though the bathroom lock was awful: hard to lock and really noisy to open. We also had dinner downstairs and asked our server to play a birthday song for my boy, but they declined because of royalty rules about the song. It was a small disappointment for us parents.
