Makmani Hotel

That balcony had lovely views, and the location made it easy to walk to Freedom Square, the bathhouses, restaurants, bars, and pharmacies. The hotel also sorted out our airport transfers and arranged guides and transport for sightseeing. Inside, the building has a distinctive character, the room was spotless, and breakfast was superb. The staff were courteous and went out of their way to help with requests. From arrival through departure, everything met my expectations. I’d happily stay here again on my next trip to Georgia.

Breakfast was a real highlight, with a generous spread and surprisingly many vegetarian choices. We did miss the veggie sandwiches after the first day, though. They were so tasty, and I’m not sure why they stopped serving them. We were a group of 16 staying five nights, and Barbara got in touch before check-in to coordinate everything. The rooms were comfortable and spacious, housekeeping came daily, and the location in Old Tbilisi was handy for Liberty Square, bars, restaurants, and supermarkets.

The staff made a strong impression, from an easy check-in to friendly, attentive help from the front desk and dining team. It felt personal, and they were happy to answer questions and handle requests. The hotel is peaceful, clean, and comfortable, with quiet rooms that kept out hallway and street noise even on a busy weekend. Linens, floors, and surfaces were well kept, the bed and pillows were inviting, and the lighting and temperature controls were easy to use. Elevators were clean, quick, and well maintained, which was useful with luggage or mobility needs. The restaurant was also tidy, with clean linens, polished floors, and neatly arranged dining areas. The menu is fairly small but has good options prepared with care. Breakfast, lunch, or a relaxed dinner with wine all made for a pleasant meal. The lobby has cozy seating and soft lighting, making it a nice place to wait, relax, or get some work done. This isn’t the flashiest hotel, but the quiet atmosphere, cleanliness, comfort, and kind service made it a solid choice for my stay.

We’d happily come back to Makmani. It’s an easy walk to Old Town sights, with good restaurants nearby, and the nightly price felt affordable for the quality. The hotel was very clean and well cared for, and the staff were welcoming and kind. Our room was comfortable, with a fantastic bed, blanket, and pillows, plus individually controlled temperature and a big, hot shower. Breakfast was appreciated, especially having eggs cooked to order.
