We only stayed one night at Hotel Marioni before heading home, and the online photos and description matched what we found. The old-style building has a lot of character, and from the rooftop terrace you can see Justice Hall. The Peace Bridge and other sights are an easy walk away. We used the shared kitchen, where guests can cook, store food, and freely use the utensils; tea and coffee were provided too, which made it feel more homey, especially for families. We had booked two rooms beside each other, which worked well for our family. Each had single beds, a private toilet and bathroom, and storage cabinets. They were simple, clean, and comfortable enough for a short visit. We were first assigned rooms on the 3rd floor, but I asked to move because we had an elderly family member and a toddler with us. The staff kindly moved us to the 1st floor without any trouble, and we appreciated their understanding. This is a cozy, family-owned place with a home-like feel, rather than a luxury hotel. If you value a warm welcome, helpful staff, and a handy location, it’s a nice option. We had a comfortable, convenient stay.

The location is ideal for seeing Tbilisi, with the city centre just a few minutes away on foot. It’s a charming little hotel, the room was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I’d stay here again.

The location made it easy to explore Tbilisi’s sights on foot, and public transport and day tours were easy to reach too. We stayed three times while in Georgia, twice here and once at their sister hotel, and enjoyed every visit. The rooms and beds were comfortable, and the staff were warm and helpful. There’s a kitchen and laundry guests can use for free, plus balconies and a rooftop terrace with great sunsets. There’s also a great salad bar nearby called Kachapuri house. Thanks, Hotel Marioni, for feeling like a home away from home.

The mattress wasn’t comfortable, but I could manage that. The bigger problem was the management. The manager was a very young girl, around 18, and seemed unfamiliar with basic interpersonal communication. She asked for payment in a rude way, almost as if she assumed I might run off without paying. I had arranged to extend my stay and got confirmation, but the night before the extension they canceled the booking and blamed me for not taking more initiative about payment. Frustrating and unprofessional.
