Merlin Guesthouse

We had a great stay, but the blonde receptionist gave us the dirtiest, most disgusting attitude for no reason I could see. This is the first review I’ve ever written about a place, but she made me do it.

The room itself was okay, but there were no pillowcases. It took two days to get them, and after I’d asked for four days, they finally serviced the room without changing the sheets. Then tonight I got locked out and was left standing in the street like a homeless person. The staff don’t care, the location is bad, and the restaurant is closed, even though they don’t tell you it doesn’t exist. I booked seven nights and am so unhappy. There are much better options.

We arrived as four couples and stayed four nights. The booking site said breakfast was included, but reception said there was none that morning and that it might be ready in 30 minutes. It never was, and there was no breakfast on the other three days either. One room had no hot water one day and a broken shower head. We reported it to reception. That night, three rooms had no hot water at all, even after we left the showers running for at least 15 minutes. When we went to reception, the manager said we were lying and that nobody had reported any problems. The staff and manager laughed at us and lied. I don’t recommend this place.

The prices are reasonable and the place is clean, but our room was tiny, with a huge column right in the middle. It didn’t look like the photos, and they weren’t very cooperative about cleaning the room.
