We got a key for the main entrance, so we could come and go whenever we liked. There was also a water dispenser beside our room, which had both a bunk bed and a sofa bed. The host was really nice, especially for letting us check in at 2am after another hotel had turned us away.

Travelers, please look at how the owner responds whenever someone leaves a negative review. Critical comments seem to prompt personal attacks, with guests called stingy, fussy, dishonest, or spiteful. That says a lot about how he treats people. He's pleasant while everything is going well, but try raising a concern or questioning anything. His mother appears to be doing the work of the whole staff while he sits at the “reception,” watching guests with what I found to be a suspicious, hostile look. I believe he is too stingy to hire cleaners or maintenance workers and leaves everything to his elderly mother. We encountered Georgian hospitality all across the country, but not here. We know what Georgian food and breakfast can be like. Sausages and reheated packaged food don't seem like traditional Georgian breakfast to me, and neither do cold chicken wings and fries. I wouldn't serve that to guests in the morning. We only expected basics: Georgian bread, tomatoes, cucumbers, and cheese, simple local foods. Fresh Georgian bread at the shop next door cost 1.2 Lari, but we were served bread from a plastic bag, the sort I wouldn't even buy in Poland. Tomatoes and cucumbers appeared just once, straight from the fridge, tasteless and not fresh. On the road we found much better breakfasts at stalls, with fresh bread, cheese, and vegetables. We weren't looking for luxury, just simple, natural food. I don't think the place is equipped to serve meals. There was no sanitary area or dining room, and the first place where we were meant to eat smelled of urine, dirt, and sweat. The next day we were put somewhere else, but it was no better. The plates and cutlery were dirty. It was disgusting. The hotel seems past its best. It might look “clean” at a glance, but the cleaning felt superficial. Everything felt sticky, as if it had all been wiped with the same rag. The bathroom had broken fixtures, mold, and mildew. The faucet dripped 24/7 and wouldn't shut off properly. There were many things needing repair, but fixing them would mean closing the hotel, which clearly isn't going to happen. Problems keep piling up. The towels had been washed, but looked as if they hadn't been replaced in 10 years. Some were like floor rags. Towels wear out and should be replaced regularly. I don't understand how this place received a three-star rating. The owner fills the water dispenser with chlorinated tap water. Why? It seems like stinginess to me. The beds in our four-person room creaked so loudly that it was nearly impossible to sleep. Even a small movement woke everyone, and the floorboards creaked with every step. My family is slim and athletic, and none of us weighs more than 70 kg. We traveled all over Georgia, from north to south and east to west, and understand the standards here. It's not a wealthy country, and we expected less than we might in richer places. But the owner's claim that we wanted champagne and strawberries for breakfast only shows, in my view, how malicious he is. Read what I've written and look at the owner's responses to other guests' negative reviews, then make up your own mind. If you care about your mental health, time, and money, and don't want toxic people to spoil your trip in this beautiful country, I sincerely suggest staying away.

It felt more like staying in someone's home than at a hotel, and it was such a nice experience. If you want cozy comfort and don't need a fancy place, this is a good choice. Mia, who owns it, is so sweet and welcoming. She makes you feel at home and cooks homemade food herself. It was delicious, definitely try it. Thanks for such a lovely stay.

The man and his mother were welcoming, really friendly, and willing to help with anything. The room could have been cleaner. The location was okay, though it felt too far to walk where we wanted to go, so we always had to take an Uber.

This was one of the worst hotel stays I've had. The owners were confrontational, got angry quickly, and didn't seem willing to listen. When we tried to sort things out, they reacted with irritation instead of offering solutions. Breakfast was a disaster. We were first told it would be a “Georgian breakfast,” then it became an “English breakfast.” What arrived was cold chicken and old fries, probably left over from the day before. The plates, forks, and other dishes were dirty too. Completely unacceptable, and there's a photo attached. The drinking water dispenser had been filled from a smelly tap, which felt both unhygienic and unpleasant. In the room, the beds and floor creaked so loudly that any little movement woke everyone. The towels were clean but extremely worn, clearly past their best. The place had supposedly been cleaned, yet everything felt sticky with years of built-up dirt. We couldn't sleep peacefully, and the bathroom tap kept leaking. The management felt unprofessional, the food was awful, basic amenities were lacking, and there was no sense of hospitality. I'd strongly advise against staying here.
