Mit Tbilisi Hotel

The bathroom is spacious, but the rooms aren't, and there's hardly room to pack a bag. The jet spray didn't work properly. We had to open the main water angle, even though it should work by pressing it. They don't provide milk creamer for coffee, and there's no elevator, though the bell boy would help carry your luggage upstairs. The breakfast choices were very limited. They should at least have honey, hot milk, yogurt, and fresh fruit. The oranges were tiny, and all the fruit was very stale. They said there was a weighing machine, then later said it was broken. The eggs were cold and semi-boiled, not properly cooked. I could only eat cucumbers, tomatoes, bread, and butter. Also, it's MIT hotel, not Mtbilis, which made it really hard to find through booking.com.

I was extremely dissatisfied with the service. We were moved to another room shortly after check-in because the TV didn't work and the air conditioning was malfunctioning. While we waited, my boyfriend drank tea. In the new room we ordered food, and he drank just one can of soda. We didn't leave the room at all. At checkout the next morning, I told reception that I'd had one can of soda. A staff member checked the room and accused me of also drinking a beer from the minibar, which I hadn't touched. I was shocked. They insisted, showing photos of a missing beer can that had been in the minibar. I found it strange to take beer from the minibar in the first place. I offered to have them check the soda can in the trash, search our bags, or look at the hotel's security cameras. Why blame only me? They didn't seem to consider that their own staff might have been negligent when checking the room. They wouldn't listen and kept trying to pin it on me. I paid him 25 gels for the unfair charge, 5 gels for the soda, and 20 gels for the tea we had at the beginning, only to resolve the situation after he wasted my time and upset me so much. Paying wasn't an admission of guilt. I didn't expect the staff here to be so unethical and lacking in morals.

The staff were really friendly, and the rooms and bed were comfortable. It’s close to plenty of attractions and Avlavari station. Breakfast was okay. We’d just hope for newer towels when we come back.

The location is very close to Old Tiblis, and everything was fine during our stay. We really liked the property, especially the amazing staff.
