Old Isani Hotel

The owner greeted us politely late at night and offered coffee. The rooms are right by the road, though, and they're all terribly noisy. Whether the windows face the busy highway or a blank wall in an industrial area, you hear the traffic just as loudly, along with the restaurant. Sleeping without air conditioning is impossible because of the noise. There's barely a place for breakfast, though none of that would have been a major issue on its own. The bigger problem was what happened after we checked in at night. The owner promised not to charge extra and said we could sleep until any time. We left at 1 p.m. instead of noon, as promised, but Irakli at reception called the owner to complain about us and charged each family 10 GEL for the extra hour. He also didn't offer breakfast to the second family. Even with a discount, I think the room costs too much for this location. It's far from old Tbilisi, and after 10 p.m. the only way back is by taxi.
