Old Tbilisi

There are much better places to stay, and some are closer to the main attractions. I was unlucky enough to spend two nights here. The manager was rude, and I had to turn on the heater myself. They apparently said the previous guest or guests didn’t want it on, which is absolute BS. It’s freezing here right now.

Irma and Tatia were very polite and friendly, especially Irma at reception. She’s a kind woman, and you’d be lucky to check in during her shift. The budget rooms I saw were warm and cozy, with a good bed and a comfortable, back-friendly mattress. The location is great, though a taxi may have trouble finding the hotel: it’s in a courtyard almost opposite the Spar. Tell the driver to stop at the courtyard arch, then walk about 100 meters. That wasn’t a problem for me. My one night here was a perfect getaway.

The staff behaved very poorly and inappropriately, and my reservation was unexpectedly rejected.

I’m satisfied with my stay. The quality is good, though it’s a little expensive.
