The smell from the restrooms was awful, and the air conditioner was tiny and useless for a room that size. It was pointed in such a strange direction that it barely cooled anything beyond the wall in front of it. The soundproofing was no better: we heard neighbors at all hours, slamming doors and coming and going as if we were part of their routine. Breakfast was out of reach both mornings. One day we had an organized excursion, and the other we were leaving at 08:20. At a decent hotel, that still counts as morning. If you're hoping for a relaxing stay, expect the opposite. We've stayed in budget hostels with much better comfort and basic functionality. Save yourself the misery and don't stay here.

We came to Tbilisi for two days after a week in Georgia, including skiing in Gudauri at Marco Polo, which we'd highly recommend. We were a family of five, with me and my brother in one room and our parents and sister in another. The hotel's location in the old part of town was okay for walking, but awkward for any other kind of transport. Two good restaurants nearby, one Italian and one sushi place, are the main reason I'd give the location three stars. We arrived with high hopes after the reviews and our lovely time in the snowy mountains, but opening the rooms changed that quickly. Each room had one set of keys, which wasn't a major issue. The smell was. The bathroom seemed to open onto a sewer. We were exhausted after the three-hour drive and all the skiing, so I asked reception whether there was any way to deal with it and let us sleep comfortably. Short answer: no. The longer version is that a staff member came up, looked at the bathroom entrance, switched on what he called ventilation, a small round opening that looked and sounded awful, then left. It barely helped. By morning it seemed a little better, but after a 12-hour walk around the city we returned to what felt like a barn and found the ventilation had been switched off. My brother and I hadn't planned to share a bed, but the hotel said there wasn't another one. We tried to ignore the smell, but the double bed didn't help the experience. I went to reception for another blanket, only to be told they had no spare blankets. We also asked for three pillows, since there was only one on each side of the bed and we wanted two per side plus one in the middle to separate us. The staff member said yes, then came back with only two. When we asked about the last one, he said there weren't any more. I looked at my mom with such a blank stare that she still laughs about it. I also noticed breakfast was available for a fee, but it runs from 9am to 11am, which sounds ridiculous for our family. Reception is only open from 9am and closes at 12pm. This is not a 4.5-star hotel. The rooms smelled like a sewer, and the service seemed more interested in playing pub-g than checking the back room for a blanket. The location was okay.

We were new to Tbilisi and searched online for an affordable place to stay. We're happy we found this hotel, because everything went well during our three nights. The breakfast kitchen staff deserve special thanks, as do the reception team. Madonna helped us arrange birthday decorations in our room for our son, who turned four on November 29. Giorgi, the receptionist who manages the hospital, was so helpful, even late at night. If I could give him six stars or more, I would. Thank you all for what you did for us, especially for our son's birthday. We'll definitely come back.

We stayed here as a family for eight days and had three different rooms. They were all clean and nicely furnished, and the location was wonderful, right in the heart of old Tbilisi. Nina, the cook, deserves a special thank you for making delicious breakfasts for us every morning. The reception guys were great too. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Silver 34.

The location and interior atmosphere were the best parts of the hotel. The room itself was dirty and untidy, and the service was unpleasant. We stayed for three days, and the pillowcases, bedspreads, duvets, and floor mats stayed in the same condition even after we asked management to take care of them. I wouldn't recommend this place. I hope management addresses these problems so I might have better feedback next time.
