Villa Lapa

The hotel's in a beautiful spot, and I visited about three weeks ago. The rooms had everything I expected, and the staff and management were lovely and always willing to help. The kitchen food was excellent, and the bar had a wide range of alcoholic and soft drinks. I'll surely be back soon.

We came for a weekend to get away from Tbilisi's heat and use the pool. The hotel is quiet, about ten minutes from central Telavi, and close enough to the road without getting noisy at night. There are around ten rooms, I guess, and a nice green yard. The rooms felt a bit small but were clean, with towels, a TV, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and a hair dryer. I did miss having a mini-fridge or cooler. The pool seemed clean. There's a kitchen and bar, though they close around 8-9 pm. Saba was a very nice bartender, and his Aperol Spritz was delicious. The food was okay and the included breakfast was modest, so I'd suggest considering other breakfast spots or ordering other dishes from the kitchen. Good parking, and Schumann, Chateau Mere, and a couple of other dining options are nearby. I'd recommend it for a longer stay.

The service was terrible. They offered us cottages that were a long way away, which we didn't agree to, so we stayed at the hotel instead. Some of us ended up sleeping in the kitchen, and despite that, they didn't refund any of the money we'd paid. They insulted us and ruined our evening.
