Nostos Studio

Nostos Studios was a great place to stay, and I’d happily return on my next visit to Santorini. The staff were friendly, the pool was nice, and breakfast was tasty and free. There was plenty of free parking, and the balconies were lovely, all facing the sea. The beach was just a few blocks away, with a mini mart right across the street. We rented a scooter, and it took about 30 minutes to get anywhere on Santorini.

We had everything we needed at Nostos Studios, and the room was spacious, clean, and had a panoramic sea view from the balcony. The pool and open sunbathing area were great for relaxing. It’s just two minutes from the sea, with seaside spots, a supermarket, and a bus stop right outside. The staff worked around the clock to make our stay feel like a dream. Thanks, Nostos Studios. We miss you!

The location was handy, with a convenience store opposite, and the high ceiling gave the room a Greek-house feel. We liked the pool and the very friendly resident cat, who sometimes came into our room and stole my bed. The room was clean and came with a portable hob, kettle, loo roll, kitchen roll, washing-up liquid, and three sets of hand and body towels. Towels were changed daily, the beds were made, and the bathroom floor was mopped. Cleaning times were inconsistent, though, and the cleaner sometimes came in while we were still in the room, which was annoying. The bathroom was very small, and the shower setup was awkward: there was nowhere overhead to hang the shower head, and the curtain didn’t reach the bottom, so water got everywhere. On our fourth day, one of the sockets stopped working. We all had to use the kettle socket, with a wire stretched across the sink, which meant reaching over the hot plate and felt dangerous. We booked three weeks for £1,777. The place looked nice from outside, but room 204 felt quite small for three adults. I’d come back with my partner or my mother, but it’s tiny for three.

The staff were helpful, the rooms very clean, and the pool area really nice. It’s a perfect, quiet spot for an island like this, and breakfast was excellent. Ask reception about renting a vehicle for easier, cheaper transport! 👍
