Aura Marina Apartments Santorini

I’ve stayed at Aura Marina Apartments four times now, twice this summer (2024) and twice last summer, and I just love it. The apartments are spacious and clean, each with its own plunge pool and a breathtaking view. It’s also a good base for getting around the island. Since it’s uphill from Akrotiri, I’d recommend renting some kind of vehicle. Thanks to George for the local tips on restaurants, the coffee shop Be2in, and car hire. Axion is a great rental company. Most of all, I appreciated his kind, welcoming manner and all the smiles 🙏🙏

There’s a pool outside each house, which worked well for big groups, and our host gave us brilliant suggestions for food and things to do. The rooms were nice, though the upstairs room didn’t have a door. It’s a great place to stay with good views and easy access to the rest of Santorini if you have a car or quad bike.

George and Dania were really friendly and helpful, and gave us a list of good places to eat and things to do while we’re here. The apartments are lovely, in a quiet part of the island, and just a short drive from Fira, Perissa, and Oia. Highly recommend.

After a long day of sightseeing, it was lovely to return to a quiet, private apartment away from Santorini’s crowded tourist areas. There’s a local market within driving distance for stocking the fridge and pantry, and restaurants just down the road if you don’t feel like driving into town. The apartment had WiFi, a private pool, stunning east-facing sunrise views, and was immaculately clean. One of my favorite places I’ve stayed, and I can’t recommend it highly enough.
