Caldera View Resort - Adults Only

I’d happily return and recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. The room was spotless, comfortable, and well equipped, and everything worked perfectly. I also loved the fresh breakfast and cozy feel. The staff were incredibly welcoming and ready to help with anything I needed.

We spent 10 relaxing days at Caldera View Resort, and the big pool was a highlight, with lots of loungers and a bar for drinks. Our spacious Maisonette was clean and tidy, and the rooftop terrace was a great spot to unwind at the end of the day. It’s tucked away somewhere quiet. There’s a bus stop outside, but having your own transport is highly recommended if you want to get the most out of your holiday. With a car, getting around was easy. Breakfast was solid, though a bit more variety would be nice. The front desk and other staff were attentive and really friendly. They can also arrange car, ATV, and roller rentals, plus boat trips and other things. Great experience 😃

There’s a bus stop right outside, but not much else nearby. The nearest supermarket is about 1 km away, and the bakery is around 800 m away. There’s just one restaurant across the road, and it’s outrageously expensive. We did get a free room upgrade, which was a very kind gesture and much appreciated. The location itself is beautiful, but the resort’s appearance was a letdown. The pool area is pretty, though quite run-down, and the bungalows look much the same from outside. At times it seemed like nobody really cared about how the place looked, which is a pity. All in all, it was okay.

The rooms are basic, but they’ve got what you need, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. The pool is lovely and never overly busy, so there was always a sun lounger when we wanted one. Drinks at the bar are a little pricey, but you’re allowed to bring your own and have them poolside. It’s a no-frills adults-only resort and one of the cheapest on the island, so the value is hard to beat. The views are among the best, and sunsets from the adjacent restaurant overlooking the caldera are amazing. For value alone, I’d give it five stars.
