Lighthouse Hotel

Cozy place with very welcoming staff, close to the iconic lighthouse, beach, cafes, restaurants, and the Alexandroupolis bus station. The bathroom is a little tiny but clean, and breakfast was satisfactory. No doubt I'll choose the same place next time.

The staff were helpful and polite, and there's free access to coffee and cold water 24/7. The location is ideal, just a three-minute walk to the port. The mattresses and shower were nice, though the shower was a bit small, and breakfast was okay. It gets noisy at night because it's near bars and restaurants. A good fit for a short stay.

The breakfast room's old furniture is beautiful, and there are two tasty kinds of jelly in an antique glass cabinet every day. They also let you store luggage and use the water dispenser and hot water machine after checkout. The staff are easygoing and flexible. One young receptionist even gave us sesame rings for a sick dove. It's a budget hotel, but a really good one. The rooms are clean and spacious enough, the staff are friendly and make you feel at home, and the breakfast has everything you need. Don't expect extras like kavourma, but the spinach borek is delicious. The young blonde Ukrainian woman at reception was especially helpful and friendly, and she speaks Russian too. There were a few small problems. The main ceiling lamp kept blinking, giving the room a bit of a disco feel, but the other lights were enough, so we didn't mind. We loved this hotel and absolutely recommend it!
