Getting around was easy, whether we walked to Plaka, Monastiraki, Psiri and Syntagma or took the M3 from the airport to Syntagma. You can also change to the M2 Red Line, get off at the Acropolis station and reach the hotel in about a 1.5-minute walk. The entrance to the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum are just 150 meters away. We loved the hotel’s design and concept, and the staff were very polite and helpful. A special thanks to Anna and, if I remember right, Ares, who work in the breakfast area. Breakfast is à la carte, which took us a little getting used to on the first day, but Anna made it easy. The food and presentation were outstanding, and breakfast is served at “Sense Restaurant,” which is listed in the Michelin Guide. All the staff helped make our holiday a wonderful one, from check-in to check-out. We appreciated the management’s high standards of service and quality. Hope to see you again.

The location is hard to beat. The Acropolis and Acropolis Museum are about a five-minute walk away, and there’s a “Hop-on Hop-off” bus stop right outside. Plenty of restaurants and cafes are close by, too. The Sense rooftop restaurant is another option, though it’s a bit pricey. Our room was spacious and well laid out, and the hotel is beautifully designed. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was included and served late into the morning, so nobody needs to rush. The Acropolis view from the table makes it tempting to linger. It’s a lovely hotel, and we had a great stay.

The rooftop restaurant on the 6th floor was a highlight: delicious food in an elegant but relaxed setting. Staff took wonderful care of us, even arranging a 3 a.m. taxi to the airport and offering us breakfast before we left. For our honeymoon, they had sparkling wine waiting in the room. Such a thoughtful touch. We also always had clean, crisp white towels, a little luxury I really appreciated. From arrival, the team were warm and professional. Our room was spotless, with a lovely balcony overlooking the Acropolis. AthensWas Design Hotel made our trip feel special, and we couldn’t have picked a better place. Highly recommended!

We felt lucky to have chosen this hotel. It’s in a busy area that felt safe and comfortable even at night, with restaurants all around, a yogurt and sweet shop next door, and a pharmacy nearby. The Plaka entrance is just down the street. The Acropolis tour was an easy walk, and we were close to both the Acropolis Museum and the hop-on bus we used. Public transport wasn’t necessary for us. Our room was modern, quiet and comfortable despite the location. Breakfast and dinner are served on the enclosed rooftop, with a stunning view of the Acropolis. I had to remind myself that I was really looking at the ancient site while having my coffee. Breakfast had several choices; we didn’t try lunch, which is served under a large canopy in front of the hotel, or dinner. The service was exceptional. I booked directly and had plenty of questions about getting from the airport and to the port. Email replies were prompt and courteous, with reassurance and options. Marisanti at the front desk was gracious and helpful: she marked up a map, gave directions, answered questions, offered suggestions, and got us into our room a little early after a long flight. The location and service made this a real gem.
