Pavlos (Paul) was always available, in person or on WhatsApp, and went out of his way to make the stay memorable. Our apartment, City Residence Acropolis View, was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It’s right among the action in Athens, too. I’ll book it again when I’m back in the city.

We paid 720€/3 nights and got little beyond the word “luxury” in the name. The place was so noisy that sleep was impossible. We could hear people talking and plenty of other traffic noise through the closed windows. The owner said that was normal for a city center location, but we checked out after the first night and found somewhere much quieter in the center. The room also stayed bright because the curtains didn’t cover the windows fully, one bedside lamp didn’t work, there was mold in the shower, and the kitchen faucet swung around when opened and was hard to shut off. They offered no spa voucher either. After we left early, they refused a refund for the two unused nights. The manager said he’d find another option for us, then messaged at 7.44pm that day that he hadn’t found anything, and never replied again. No refund and no alternative. I felt robbed.

I’ve stayed here three times now, and it’s one of the best places I’ve found in all my travels across more than 50 cities. The rooms come in 60m or 100m sizes, are really spacious, and have a contemporary style. They’re also equipped with everything you could need, and then some. The staff are among the friendliest I’ve met and will go out of their way to help. If you’re driving, there are a couple of garages on the same street and some public parking along it too. I’m so glad I found this place and highly recommend it.

There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and I felt safe. The location is very good. I’d suggest booking a top floor apartment for its great Acropolis view.
