Chania Apartments

There was everything we needed, and the place was great. The old town is about a 10-minute walk away, with a grocery store and restaurants nearby. Special thanks to the front desk employee who helped me so much with a problem I had. I'd really recommend this place to everyone.

We had a late flight and needed to check in late, and the communication with Apartments Chania was very good. The beach, city centre, bakery and coffee shops, supermarkets, and a petrol station are all close by. Street parking was no problem. The reception ladies were kind and helpful. We had a great stay and highly recommend it.

The apartment was very good, with a comfortable bed, a fully equipped kitchen, and a big bathroom and shower. Its location is convenient, with lots of supermarkets nearby, close to the beach and a 10-15 minute walk from the old harbor. But be prepared for noise, which is outside the owners' control. The building faces a very busy street with cars, buses, and motorbikes going by almost 24/7. Even with every window and door shut, it was almost impossible to sleep. There's also a cafe or something on the ground floor, where loud music can go on until 01-02 am. On our last night a large group stayed there making extreme noise until almost 3 in the morning. People still get tired on vacation and need some sleep. Maybe modern doors and windows could at least cut down the outside noise significantly, even if they can't block it completely.

The only thing I liked was the self check-in. We left and booked somewhere else for our last three days. The room was much smaller than the photos suggested, which I found misleading because seven different apartments are all advertised as the same economy room. The bed was okay, but the kitchen and bathroom were really outdated. The bathroom looked like hell, and the shower was too small for a normal-sized person. The air conditioning blew straight onto the bed, and the remote batteries were low so we couldn't change the settings. We woke up cold or freezing every day. If you book, make sure you find out exactly which apartment you'll be staying in.
