Elia Penthouse

The view is fabulous, but neither the hot tub nor our shower had hot water. The property managers kept saying they’d fix everything right away. They made one attempt, but in the end it was just talk. Such a shame, because otherwise this would have been great.

The sea views are beautiful, and the apartment feels very luxurious. Perfect location, would recommend.

The terrace is huge and has a superb view, with sunset as a bonus, though we couldn’t enjoy it as much as we hoped. It was very windy on the first day, and with young children it felt dangerous because they could easily climb onto the edge and lean out. We also chose this place partly for the jacuzzi, but it was completely empty. We weren’t told it wouldn’t be available. It uses unheated water, so I think they only offer it in summer, which was a real shame. Inside, the apartment was clean, spacious, well insulated and laid out nicely. It had everything we needed, including a coffee maker, microwave and air conditioning, plus some thoughtful welcome touches. The people managing it were quick to respond to messages and requests. It’s around a 10-minute walk from the center of Chania, right by the beach, and restaurants are at the foot of the building. The garage was manageable, but tight for a large car, especially when other people park carelessly. It feels more like storage than a proper parking space, though having somewhere to leave the car is nice with so little parking outside. I can only imagine how it is in summer.

The sea view was lovely, and the apartment was well equipped and kept in great shape. It was clean, and the staff were really nice and helpful.
