Elounda Infinity Exclusive Resort & Spa

We came away feeling calm, happy, and recharged. The resort atmosphere was peaceful and relaxed, and the pool area felt dreamy. I especially enjoyed doing yoga by the sea each morning at the outdoor gym. Our room was modern and tidy, with a wonderful sea view. The food was fresh, delicious, and varied, and the staff were genuinely kind and welcoming. The whole stay was perfect, and we're grateful for such a lovely holiday. We'll be back.

We enjoyed the stay and the massage was great, but several details fell short of what we'd expect from a five-star hotel. Breakfast was decent, though the buffet wasn't special and the service was inattentive. We even had to wait for water. The spa felt temporary and cramped for its prices, with no place to relax and no tea offered, although the massage itself was excellent. The three pools sit right beside each other. During our stay a large fitness group made the area noisy and crowded, and a few times we came back from swimming to find our sunbeds occupied despite leaving towels and belongings there. There's no hotel beach. The room was comfortable but small and not very soundproof. The terrace hadn't been cleaned before we arrived and wasn't cleaned during our stay. The in-room jacuzzi wouldn't heat above 30°C, and despite asking several times, we couldn't use the safe. At a five-star property, we'd also expect more complimentary water in the room. The hotel is new and attractive, in a great location, with lovely sunrise views from the room and facilities including an outdoor gym and spa. It has a lot of potential, but these shortcomings would keep us from returning.

The hotel sits on a steep hill, but there was always a friendly staff member ready to drive us up in a golf buggy when we didn't fancy the climb. We stayed from 28/9 to 5/10. Our 'private' plunge pool rarely got direct sun, so the water was always rather cold, and it wasn't very private because several rooms looked over it. We thought about switching to the south side for more sunshine, but the view across to Spinalonga was the highlight, so we stayed put and used the sunny main pool instead. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We also loved the balcony views, the delicious food with plenty of choice, and the hotel pool and pool bar.

The rooms were clean and the pool area looked especially lovely at night. Staff were super friendly and welcoming, and we liked the gym too. The buffet was very good quality. At dinner, I would have liked more vegetarian or vegan choices, such as falafel or grilled feta. The chef helped arrange alternatives, though, and they also had sugar-free dessert.
