Aerino Villa

We looked out from our room over the volcano and water, with lovely views of Santorini’s white and blue buildings towards Oia. Flora was incredibly kind and accommodating. An attentive employee whose name I never caught brought us vegan breakfast every morning, and also kept our room clean with fresh towels. Flora and her husband own the gyro shop across the alley, which served great food, as well as a restaurant down the road. It was a comfortable stay, and I can’t wait to come back!

I came for a short break from Athens and plan to return soon with a larger group. The location was great, and I actually preferred Firostefani to Oia, if that helps. Views of the Caldera and sunset from the rooms were spectacular. The place was beautifully decorated and very clean, with luxury towels and robes. Breakfast was well prepared and included fresh items like orange juice. The owners and whole team provided equally good service.

Flora, the owner, booked us a taxi to Firostefani Cross and was there to welcome us. She then guided us to the hotel, about a two-minute walk from the taxi stand and another five to seven minutes from the Three Bells of Fira. It’s set away from the city bustle, though there are plenty of restaurants and shops just outside. The calm was lovely. The main Fira market is around 1-1.2 km downhill, with comparatively fewer steps, which was great. The room, views and surroundings matched the listing or were even better. We had a comfy bed, a large room, a balcony looking out to the sea, cruises and volcanic islands, clean sheets and towels, bathrobes, and a fully stocked bathroom. There was complimentary water, soft drinks, chocolates and local wine, plus tea and coffee with a kettle. We enjoyed the TV and Netflix too. Every morning they served breakfast in the room or on the porch overlooking the sea. The room was cleaned and sheets changed daily. Marieta, the housekeeper, was very sweet. Flora also suggested sightseeing and recommended Taverna Romantica for lunch. It wasn’t one of the best meals, but the hosts were lovely. We enjoyed every day of our stay and are definitely going back. If you’re staying in Firostefani, this is it!

We loved having breakfast or dinner out on the balcony, especially with those gorgeous views. The rooms are spacious and beautiful, and they left us delicious homemade wine as a welcome. There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, and Thira is within walking distance. Service was great too. 😍
