Anteliz Suites

It’s peaceful here, with a lovely view over Fira and the Caldera from near the top of the hill. Fira’s busy center is only about a ten minute walk away. We’d definitely come back, and the pool is great, though you can only see the view through a doorway from it. The place suited us for a quiet, romantic stay, but the restaurant is more like a few tables on a patio by the pool than a full restaurant. We booked a junior suite and found it a waste of money, since it was the same size as our friends’ standard room. We did have a balcony, but it wasn’t private. Those are small issues and not enough to take away the five stars, just some useful tips.

We only stayed one night, but really enjoyed the experience. It had a luxe feel, with a very comfortable bed, welcoming staff, and an amazing, carefully chosen breakfast. The in-room pool had a lovely view, especially at sunset. Since the hotel is close to the caldera, there’s no parking, but staff helped carry our luggage.

The hotel has several kinds of suites, so check which one suits your needs, such as a private terrace or pool. The views toward the caldera, sunset, and Oia are amazing. The place stayed clean and tidy, and the staff were attentive and professional. Breakfast à la carte had great choices. I’d definitely recommend it to others visiting Santorini. From my second-level Junior Suite, I liked sitting on the balcony and enjoying the quiet. The room was beautiful, comfortable, and very clean. Staff were welcoming and accommodating, arranged airport transport both ways, carried my bags up and down, and explained what was available during my stay. The food was good too. I had a glass of wine on arrival, tried the sea bass carpaccio, which I recommend, and had breakfast a couple of times. The scrambled eggs with smoked salmon on brioche were a favorite, and service was great. Anteliz Suites has unobstructed Caldera views and is a short walk from lovely views of Fira on one side and Imerovigli on the other. It’s a bit of a climb, but quite walkable, and the scenery makes it worthwhile. Fira’s lively center is also close. I had a very pleasant stay and highly recommend Anteliz Suites for a relaxing, peaceful visit to Santorini.
