Gigi at reception was wonderful, always kind and ready to answer questions. We rented a buggy through her on our last full day, and they brought it to us and picked it up, which was useful since we were short on time. It was a bit older than the other ones we saw. The deluxe sea side suite had everything we needed, and the room was cleaned daily. The bed was comfortable for us, breakfast was delicious, and we loved the night views. We stayed May 16-23rd, 2026. We like privacy on vacation, so be aware that the neighbours directly to the right have a staircase and can see onto your balcony as they enter or leave their room. The hot tub was a good size, but the water was lukewarm, not hot, and the jets switch off at 9:30pm. The shower was the only downside. There are lots of places to eat within walking distance. Onar and the Japanese spot, whose name I can’t remember, were both very good. We walked a long way to Barolo, which was nice, though the food was pretty basic and the options limited, as you’d expect with fine dining. Their tacos were very good. Why Not had a gyro that tasted better than the one we got in fira square. We also had a crispy chicken club sandwich from a nearby place whose name I can’t remember. The crispy chicken is a must have. It has an upper level, and the main level looks very cute. In Oia, we ate at Pacman, with incredible sunset views, though it’s on the expensive side. We brought 2,000 euro but should have brought 2,300. We mostly ate fine dining, so if you’re like us, bring a bit more. The weather wasn’t as good as I’d hoped. It was mild for the first few days, then summer-like during our last two, so we went to Forty One beach club. The vibe there was amazing. We got into the ocean because it was so hot, but the water was really cold. Overall, we had an amazing stay.

We could walk into Fira from the hotel, and it was easy to explore the rest of the island from there. Our honeymoon suite was spotless and beautifully decorated, with a terrace that had sun all day. The hot tub was lovely, and the sunsets from the terrace were stunning. Breakfast came to the room and changed each day. The staff were incredibly quick to help, even taking care of things right away when we sent a WhatsApp message. A fantastic stay.

Gigi at reception made everything easy. She kept in touch, arranged our airport pick-up, and shared useful island tips. Breakfast arrived right on time every morning, and the service was excellent throughout. The caldera views were stunning, and it was such a peaceful, personal place to watch the sunset. Shops and lovely restaurants are close by too. I’d happily choose Damigos Caldera World over Oia, which is just as beautiful but much quieter.

We stayed in Number 5, the honeymoon suite, and loved it. The views were breathtaking, and Gigi was especially accommodating, with great recommendations and fabulous service. Breakfast was fresh and always on time. The hotel is in a peaceful spot between Fira and Imogravali, without all the busyness. Ignore the 2 star Google rating, I’d give this hotel at least 4, maybe 5. We had an amazing time and would definitely return.

Gigi made our stay so smooth, and even helped us book an amazing cruise around the island, which was one of the highlights of our holiday. Breakfast was really tasty, with a menu to choose from, and she brought it to our room so we could eat on the balcony and enjoy the view. The room was spacious and clean, with a gorgeous caldera view and a jacuzzi on the balcony, perfect after a day out. We stayed 3 nights and really enjoyed it. Fira and Imerovigli are each about a 10-minute walk away, though the heat and all the steps up and down can make it a bit tough if you don't like walking. We loved taking photos along the way, day and night, and would be very happy to come back.
