Grande Murano

The owner was very nice, and we liked the view and pool, but we wouldn’t stay again. We were there for two nights. The mattress felt like a brick, with springs poking through whenever you moved, and the pillows were maybe an inch thick. There was mold along the bottom of the shower curtain (pictured). On the first night the power went out, so there was no AC or lighting, we couldn’t charge our phones, and the toilet didn’t work. The next night the power was back, but the AC leaked through the ceiling and left the floor wet (also pictured). The toilet also made a lot of noise that night, and two people tried to charge us twice.

We were really disappointed. There was a lot of noise at night because large groups of people were talking, and the pool was dirty. The room was horrible, the AC didn’t work properly, and the shower was a disaster with no shower head. The beds were very hard and noisy too, which made things really uncomfortable. One of my worst hotel experiences. We would not recommend this hotel at all.

The owner spoke to us in an incredibly rude tone and refused to honor what the hotel employee had promised. We’d booked a room for three, and the employee assured us, even two minutes before we arrived, that it definitely had three beds. Instead we were given a double room, leaving one of us without a place to sleep. The room was very dirty, there was no hand soap, and the AC didn’t work. It may cost less than other hotels there, but the owner and staff’s unacceptable behavior ruined the stay. Don’t book here. It’s better to pay a little more for somewhere trustworthy.

The woman at the front desk was really nice and helpful, and let us into our room as soon as it was ready. We stayed three nights on a trip with friends and thought the place was okay. The room felt damp and dark, though, and there wasn’t a single hook in the bathroom for our towels. There are a few things they could improve, but we had a good experience overall.
