Island View Apartments is a spacious, clean option for a family of four, with a huge kitchen and eating area. We found it a little odd on arrival because it’s above a local toystore outside Fira, but it’s close to Pyrgos. The host was welcoming, left us wonderful baked goods on two occasions, and replied quickly by email and Whatsapp. You can watch the sunset through the large patio doors from the sofa or head up to the private rooftop terrace. An electrical pole and line across the street slightly get in the way. There’s an unmarked bus stop right outside for Fira, though we preferred renting a car instead of relying on the schedule. For a Santorini vacation, where prices are otherwise high, I think this apartment is very good value compared with an overpriced hotel directly overlooking the Caldera in popular areas like Fira, Imerovigli, or Oia.

A really nice local apartment and an interesting place for a holiday. I’d recommend it to anyone and might come back next time.

The apartment sits in the middle of a road peninsula, but the sunset from the rooftop hot tub is priceless.

Alexander gave excellent service, and the sunset views are unbeatable. One of the best places to spend a few days in Santorini. We’ll be back!
