Kalisti Hotel & Suites

Getting into the city centre and good restaurants on foot was easy. The staff helped with every part of our stay and were so kind, including arranging taxis, which can be tricky without help. Our spacious rooms had lovely private balconies and views. The modern pool area was great for relaxing, and the comprehensive hot breakfast was delicious. We had a great stay!

The manager made a point of introducing himself and thanking us, and we'd definitely come back. The hotel is about a ten-minute walk from Santorini's main street, with bars, restaurants, and incredible views nearby. It's a smooth ride of just nine minutes from the airport. The entrance is clean and service is prompt, and the room, with its own clean, spacious outdoor area, was unbeatable for the price. Breakfast is included and served from 8 AM-11 AM. Both pools were clean and the hot tub was wonderful. For getting around the island, the bus costs 2€ and worked smoothly for us. We went to Oia for dinner, a must-see. Airport transport services just outside the exit cost about 20€ less than an Uber. 10/10, would recommend.

We stayed for a week in October, after peak season, as an adult family. It's easy to stroll into central Fira or catch buses around the island. There's a supermarket across the road and small restaurants along it too. Despite the handy location, it was quiet outside. All the staff, from reception and room service to the breakfast restaurant, were very friendly. The modern rooms and public spaces are well kept. We had a room with a jacuzzi and used it a lot. The pool area looked recently upgraded and was immaculate, with two large pools and a jacuzzi. We didn't try lunch or dinner, since we were out exploring or it felt too cool to eat outside at the pool bar. With little kids, take care around the pools: there's no lifeguard or depth markings. The hotel seemed more geared toward adults.

The location was perfect for shops and restaurants, though by noon it got really crowded with large cruise ship groups. Everything was very clean, and the beds were so comfortable. I slept better here than anywhere else on our group tour. It seems like it would be a wonderful honeymoon hotel, with honeymoon suites that have private pools. The main pools looked inviting, and the hotter one did too. I couldn't enjoy them because it rained while I was there, though locals badly needed the rain after a few years of drought. The wet floors got very slippery, but hotel staff kept mopping to prevent anyone falling.
