Loizos Apartments

We had a two-bedroom option for our family, with a small kitchenette, and found it clean, safe, and very affordable. The place is quiet and not crowded, even though it's just a short stroll from Fira's main gathering area, shops, bars, and restaurants. Staff were welcoming and lovely, and arranged rides wherever we wanted to go. We didn't have to haul our bags along the streets: they picked us up and dropped us at the door, or at the supermarket two minutes away when the shuttle was too big. Caldera views, restaurants, and local gift shops are all just steps away. Such a hidden gem, highly recommend it!

A great base for seeing Fira and the rest of the island. The rooms are spacious and nice, with smart TVs, and you're close to everything. The bus station is only a few minutes away on foot, and with luggage you can avoid the steps around town.

I visited in early June and had a great stay. The hotel was clean and housekeeping did a great job. The location's handy for the sunset point, restaurants, and town bus station. I was traveling with kids, so a microwave in the room would've been useful. I'd highly recommend it for young couples.

The staff made us feel at home, and I want to thank them for that. We were upgraded to a higher-standard room, though I also got a look at the others and they all seemed well equipped. Our room was on the first floor, so we had to go down to reach the pool. Since it was late October, we barely used it. I loved our balcony overlooking the pool and trees. It worked like a small apartment, with two bedrooms, a kitchenette stocked with a fridge, toaster, dishes, kettle, cutlery, and a wine opener, plus a bathroom. Great setup for traveling with a baby and teenage daughter. They provided a crib, and there was a high chair in the breakfast area. Breakfast was delicious and buffet-style, and the kitchen staff made special French toast just for us. Around the pool there are big, comfy beds for lounging and sunbathing. Some rooms open right onto the pool, but I'd pick an upper floor for a quieter stay. You're near scenic viewpoints and the main tourist areas, while being a little off the beaten path and more peaceful. A shop, pharmacy, and bus station are close by too. I highly recommend this place, five out of five.
