Burned Rock Suites

The hosts were lovely and very helpful. They cleaned the apartment daily, gave us plug adapters and extra beach towels, and suggested places to eat and beaches to visit. The apartment itself was beautiful, the Wi-Fi worked well, and the bus stop is right outside. Local supermarkets are within walking distance. The main town centre is a five minute drive for food and shopping, and most beaches and major sites are about 20 minutes away. If you’re going, rent a car or quad bike, bring sunglasses, and expect food prices similar to the UK.

A nice ocean view from the balcony and a full kitchen with a stove made this a lovely place for a couple’s vacation. It’s spacious and beautifully decorated. There’s no microwave, but the host was kind enough to warm our food in one at her place.

I had a bad experience here. I was visiting friends who were staying at the apartment, and we talked on the terrace for about two hours, without music or anything else that should have caused a disturbance. Then someone started banging hard on the door. One of the employees yelled at us and acted aggressively. A client on the ground floor, who had a dog that I think barks quite often, threatened to wait outside and beat us up. After I went into the apartment, I think they fell asleep and forgot what they had planned to do. I’ve never encountered this kind of attitude before.

No caldera views from the property, though you can walk five minutes to find them. The owners were really helpful and nice, and the rooms were cozy, clean, and especially pleasant. We had coffee, a coffee machine, cups, glasses, and cutlery in the room. Wi-Fi and air conditioning worked flawlessly. There are plenty of good food options nearby, a mini market just around the corner, and a bus stop right in front. Highly recommend. If we return to Santorini, we’ll stay here again.
