Tholos Resort

We spent five nights at Tholos Resort in September of 2025. The room was awkward for adults: stairs led up to the bed and there were more stairs in the bathroom, while the bed was pushed against a wall on one side, making it hard to get in. Getting out of the complex also meant tackling lots of steep steps. The private hot tub sounded like a nice feature, but ours never got hot. We told reception it was cold, and raised it again another day. The water was a little warmer then, but still too cold to use as a hot tub. It felt more like an outdoor pool. Save your money, this felt like deceptive advertising.

Breakfast arrived in our room each morning and was delicious. The room was clean and neat, with a lovely Caldera view where we could watch the sunset. The pool and pool bar also had great views, and the service there from Albie, Andy, and another person, Victors son, was excellent. Sorry, I forgot his name. We stayed two nights at Tholos and had a fantastic time. It’s in Imerovigli, close to plenty of cafés and bars, and Fira is a 10-15 minute walk away. The team were so welcoming. Victor helped carry our luggage down to the room when we arrived, and Dimitris and Marianna at reception answered our questions with a smile and looked after us from the welcome drinks until we left. One of our most memorable stays, and we’d recommend it in Santorini. We’re already looking forward to coming back. Thanks to the whole team for making the holiday so memorable.

Breakfast on the balcony each morning was such a thoughtful touch, and I loved the view from the swimming pool. My room was spacious, with a breathtaking outlook that felt especially vibrant in the morning. At night, stepping outside meant a beautiful starry sky. The bathroom was a little small and could use better ventilation. Still, the service was excellent.

The location worked out perfectly. We could walk everywhere, and it wasn’t too crowded with tourists. We were two adults with kids aged 12 and 15, and the room with an indoor pool was a big hit with our youngest son. Absolutely amazing stay!
