Hotel Antinea Suites & SPA

My suite had an in-room hot tub and a fantastic view across the whole town. The position was just right for getting afternoon shade, too. It’s listed as a four-star resort, but feels close to five. The place was clean and quiet, and the staff were amazing, especially Nickolas. I’d absolutely come back.

The breakfasts were fantastic, and the owner kept checking that we had what we needed and were being looked after. It’s a peaceful place but still close to everything. A lovely hotel run by the whole family. Highly recommended!

I loved staying at Antinea during my mid-September vacation. It was quiet, I felt safe traveling solo as a woman, and I could rest or relax by the pool. My room was spacious and clean, with daily cleaning. Breakfast was included, with choices including vegetarian-friendly options. The staff were kind and offered advice and guidance. The beach is about a ten-minute walk away. There’s a nearby bus stop for Fira and Oia, with buses every 15 minutes, so getting around was easy. I also enjoyed having hiking routes close by. One takes around 40 minutes to reach Ancient Thera and the ruins; the longer route to Profitis Ilias takes about an hour and a half. That second trail is pretty challenging but doable. I love hiking, so I did both.

The pool stays open until sunset, and you can walk to Kamari beach or take the steps behind the hotel up to thera. It seems like a good choice for couples or families. The rooms are spacious and looked much better than the photos on the Expedia website. The large first-floor rooms facing the sea have an outdoor bathtub and seating. They also left juice, fruit, and a bottle of water for us at check-in. I recommend this place.
