Fomithea Hotel-New

We felt extremely safe staying here as two women travelling together. The staff were friendly and attentive the whole time, and we could get a sunbed each morning without getting up at the crack of dawn. The pool area is small but just right for a laid-back atmosphere away from the bustle of big hotels. We’d planned to go out most days because we booked on a budget, but we enjoyed the pool so much that we spent most of our time there. There was chilled music playing all day, great cocktails and a nice lunch selection. The Chef salad was my favorite. Kamari beach and lots of local restaurants are just a two-minute stroll away, so the location was perfect. The beds in our room were uncomfortable and the air-conditioning wasn’t great. Still, for the price, I can’t really complain. It was great value, and we had a very friendly welcome. Thanks for a lovely stay at Fomithea!

A lovely family-run three-star hotel, and I’d definitely recommend it. The location is ideal, around a five-minute walk to the beach, shops and restaurants, but far enough away to stay quiet and peaceful. Our room was spacious, clean and had a comfortable bed. A couple of things were faulty, the doorknob and a chair, but reception fixed them quickly after we let them know. The pool was clean and good, with plenty of chairs, shady spots and loungers. The pool bar’s food and drinks were fairly priced. Breakfast was what you’d expect, and the staff topped things up quickly.

The bar food we tried between 12 and 5 was delicious, and breakfast had so much choice that even I, though I'm not much of a breakfast person, found plenty. I slept better than I had in weeks. The place was spotless, wonderfully relaxing, and in a great location. All the staff were friendly and easy to approach, especially the lovely cleaning team. We spotted a few little ants in the bathroom each morning, but it wasn't a big deal. I had such a good time and would love to come back. Thanks, everyone!

The rooms and shared spaces were spotless, and everyone, from the managers to the room cleaners, seemed eager to help. Breakfast was good overall, though the cooked food could be a little cool. That's my only small complaint. A real gem.
