Radisson Blu Zaffron Resort, Santorini

We loved the Kamari location. It’s near the amenities and ancient ruins, about a 20-minute drive from places around Santorini, and offers easy airport access while staying away from the touristy, overpriced areas. The private beach area and beach bar were a highlight, like a little oasis by the water. The rooms, pool, wellness spa, and restaurant were all beautifully appointed. What really stood out was the hospitality: everyone we dealt with was efficient, professional, and friendly, from the room cleaners to the front-of-house staff in the bars and restaurants. We’ll be back.

The only snag for us was the partly outdoor restaurant. We visited in late April and it could feel cool there, even with garden-style heaters next to each table, so I’d bring something warm to wear while dining. That shouldn’t be an issue in summer. This truly feels like a five-star hotel. The heated pools were wonderful, the staff were attentive and friendly, and they made everything easy. Rooms were cleaned daily, often with fresh bed linen, and there was a turndown service each evening. Concierge Michael was welcoming and very helpful. The food was good, and the buffet breakfast was the best we’ve experienced. Kamari town and beach, with plenty of bars and restaurants, are an easy walk away. Fira is about a 20-minute bus ride. We thoroughly recommend the hotel and can’t wait to return.

I didn’t want to leave after our stay. The restaurant was a real pleasure too: we booked it for a couple of nights and the food was fresh, delicious, and prepared to a five-star standard each time. The drinks were excellent as well. The room made both me and my son happy. He especially loved having so much space. It was spotless and well kept, with luxurious wardrobes upstairs and a modern, elegant design throughout. Downstairs, the beautifully arranged private pool added something special. The shared pool area was fantastic and relaxing, and the whole hotel was kept in excellent condition. Towels and amenities were clean and neatly organized. From the moment I arrived, everything felt calm and welcoming. The entrance was beautifully designed and spotless, and the staff were attentive and professional throughout our visit. It was a truly memorable stay, and we enjoyed every moment.

Breakfast was a highlight every morning, with plenty to suit different appetites and diets. I kept going back to the beet, carrot, ginger, and lemon juice. There were different egg dishes, Greek pastries like baklava, yogurt cake, and coffee made how you like it. The resort is beautifully designed and such a lovely place to slow down, breathe, and take in Santorini’s rhythm. The town was adorable, with sea views, restaurants, and great shopping. Thank you to all the staff who looked after us and became friends. I’d gladly return.
