The rooms were clean, cool, and had everything we needed, but the service is what really stood out. Effie welcomed us with the warmth of a traditional Greek hostess and made us feel like family. Alex was just as helpful, sharing island information and advice from his work as a tour guide. Breakfast was delicious too. When I’m back in Santorini, I’ll stay here again. Honestly, ten stars, not five. Many kisses, Effie and Alexander Nikos & Despina.

Alex and Effie made us feel so well looked after, and breakfast every morning was AMAZING. The service at 1812 really was second to none. My partner and I loved our stay at 1812 caves and mansions. Our suite was spotless and had everything we needed. We’d absolutely recommend it to anyone travelling to Santorini.

Rita kept the place spotless, always with a smile, and the breakfasts were divine, especially the homemade yogurt. We had an unforgettable stay at 1812 Caves and Mansions. Alex and Effie were brilliant hosts, and nothing we asked for was too much trouble. I couldn’t recommend staying here more.

Alex knows Santorini inside out and gave us some fantastic suggestions for our trip. He and Efi were warm, friendly hosts throughout our stay. We also looked forward to the delicious breakfast each morning. The property is peaceful and well cared for, in a quiet spot about a 15-minute walk from Fira, so it was easy to get around while still feeling relaxed. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend it.

The Superior cave suite was such a great experience, beautifully finished inside. The photos really show it. We arrived extremely late, and Alex still welcomed us and made us feel like part of the family. He speaks English very well, knows a lot, and was happy to help with anything. Breakfast was another highlight. That’s where we met Alex’s mum and got a real taste of Greek family hospitality. She treated us to delicious homemade jams, yoghurt, and juice. Fantastic woman. We’ve travelled all over the world, and the service and accommodation here are among the best we’ve had. Thanks for making Santorini a trip we’ll remember forever. 1812 is perfectly placed for seeing the island. If you’re still scrolling for somewhere to stay, I’d stop here. You won’t find better. Even Dubai doughnut 🍩 💗👍
