On check-in day, we were told to meet someone near the property, not at it, and the person treated us terribly. There were two women with us as well. Then he said our booking had been cancelled. I can only guess he gave the place to someone else for more money. The whole thing was so unprofessional that it ruined our Santorini experience. Don’t book here.

The hostess was amazing, and the place was clean and modern.

The rooms have no windows, which I understand may be typical of Greek cave houses, but from the photos I expected better. The house was quite damp, the bathroom door wouldn’t lock and had a gap you could see through, and showering left the bathroom flooded. Cooking was awkward too, with just one pot and one pan and very few plates and utensils. It felt poorly equipped, so having to keep asking the owner for things was annoying, even though they were often available. The hidden issues made the stay somewhat disappointing, though not terrible.

I’d happily stay here again. It’s a newly renovated apartment, close to Thira and well placed for exploring the island. The owner was very kind and helpful, and the area itself is quiet, a good fit if you want peace.
