Blue Lagoon City Hotel

We paid a bit extra for junior suite rm 324, and it was worth it for the lovely bathroom and small terrace. The restaurant and bar staff were great, especially Barbara and the Bulgarian lady nicknamed 'Gerr', who shared her birthday cake with us. Food and drink were high standard. The hotel exceeded expectations, with a great location close to old town. The atmosphere, cleanliness, friendly staff and amenities all made for a really good stay. Bravo Blue Lagoon City.

Happy hour at the Pool side bar was affordable and a lovely way to end the evening. Michael deserves a special mention for his hospitality, though all the staff were friendly and professional and happy to offer local tips on places to visit. The standard rooms are lovely and have everything needed for a holiday: comfortable beds, air con, twin sinks and a waterfall shower. Housekeeping was excellent. The old town and harbour are within walking distance, but the pathways can be perilous beside what can be very busy roads.

The pool area had a calm feel, with a bar and restaurant, and the lunches we tried there were tasty and came out quickly. You can only eat or drink things bought on site, but the prices seemed fair to us. We stayed for a week in August 2025 and were pleased with our choice of Blue Lagoon City. The walk into town took about 5-10 minutes. Our room was modern and spotless, with lovely daily cleaning, and the staff were welcoming and professional throughout. Breakfast was fresh, good quality, and offered lots of options, including made-to-order omelettes. We didn't try dinner, though it looked popular. The pool was a good size, and the hotel seemed well suited to couples and families. We'd happily stay again if we return to Kos.

Kos itself was a little less clean than we expected, though the hotel's central position made exploring easy. We had a memorable stay at Blue Lagoon City. The housekeeping team kept our chaotic room spotless every day, even folding our pajamas and putting everything in order. The food was consistently good, with plenty of choices. The evening bar staff made a real difference: Michael and Georgia were warm, lively, and great to talk to, and made us feel at home. From arrival onward, the staff were especially welcoming. We'd recommend the hotel for either a relaxing break or exploring the island.
