Artemis Suites

Avoid this place. Before we arrived, we got in touch to ask about paying the whole bill in cash, and that was the first sign something was off. We were given directions to the room but no one showed us there. Inside, it felt like a prison cell. The rooms need a major update, and the bathroom was probably the worst part, especially at almost £150 a night. My partner and I couldn't see ourselves staying there for a week. There were no other guests, the staff were rude, and the hotel was in the middle of nowhere, with nothing within walking distance. We couldn't spend even one night in that room, so I booked somewhere else closer to town. At reception, I was told I had to pay for the whole stay even though we weren't staying. I offered half, but they said they'd call the police. I didn't want police trouble on holiday, so I paid in full. I asked for an invoice and was told it could be sent by text later that day. After I called several times, they kept sending the wrong invoice, with either the wrong date or the wrong amount. After I complained through booking.com, we found out the hotel had told booking.com that we hadn't shown up, even though we had checked in and paid the full amount in cash. I feel this place is just a scam and would advise everyone to avoid it!

The hotel is quiet and a little out of the way, so cabs were our main option and they were pricey, though that seems to be the case across the island. We stayed for two nights in May 2025 while eloping in Santorini, and the employees did everything they could to make our stay and wedding easy and comfortable. The room was clean and nice, and breakfast was just enough to get the day going. We’d happily stay again for the peaceful setting, simple vibe, and helpful staff.

The caldera view from my luxurious room with a hot tub was magnificent. It was so quiet that I slept like a baby, and the staff started to feel like family. I cried when I left, and I’ll definitely be back. You have to stay here!

We spent five days in Santorini and would definitely come back. At Artemis suites, we were welcomed warmly, and the view was speechless, with convenient location, big parking, and kind people around. The staff were excellent, from Oamela at the front desk to valentina, the chef, whose homemade breakfast was delicious, and Nikole from the cleaning staff. Santorini felt like home.
