The staff were friendly, helpful, and made us feel like VIPs. The rooms are large, with a huge bathroom, and breakfast on the veranda was delicious. The building was once the home of an important Greek politician. There’s no pool here, but guests can use the facilities at nearby sister properties, including the wonderful Petite Palace on the edge of the caldera. There’s a public bus stop 350 meters away, with inexpensive rides to the beach or Fira, or you can take a costly taxi. Restaurant and bar options nearby are limited, though there are a few.

The standard breakfast was already so good that we wished we hadn’t ordered as many sides. They brought it right to our private terrace, which was lovely. We also got to use the pool with the volcano view, and we were thrilled about that. Such a peaceful, quiet place. We’ll definitely be back.

We loved the pool and how easy it was to walk to our favorite spot, Tranquilo beach. The rooms were roomy, the beds comfortable, and the Wi-Fi worked well. Everything was super clean, and the people here were so kind. I’d absolutely recommend staying here.

The staff were very courteous and helpful, but this is still just a room-and-breakfast lodge. I don’t understand why it’s advertised as a four-star hotel, and I wouldn’t want anyone to be misled by that.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and had a fantastic time. The service and amenities were absolutely great. I can’t wait to come back.
