13 Keys Suites

Being able to walk to everything in Nydri was a real plus, and we were so well looked after during our five-night stay for a wedding. The bride, groom, and both families were staying at 13 keys, and the family and staff went out of their way for all of us. I only wish we'd booked longer. Breakfast came in a lovely basket, with plenty of choices we picked the night before and a delivery time we could choose between 8:15 and 10. The pool and its surroundings were gorgeous and clean, our spacious room was cleaned daily, and we got fresh towels. The small fridge was restocked with water and sodas whenever we used them. There was also a Nespresso machine for espresso whenever we wanted. The beds felt like sleeping on a cloud, and we woke up rested. The air conditioning worked well, as long as the balcony doors were closed. If you opened them, you had to turn it on again, which seems to be how new hotels work these days. The hotel is gorgeous, and we will definitely be back.

The setting worked well for us: on a quiet street among olive trees, but close enough to walk into Nydri for its tavernas, cafes, and other activities. There was parking by the building with enough room for all the cars there, and the staff were kind and brought breakfast on time. Breakfast arrived in the room each day at the time we requested, between 8:15 and 10, with the choices made the previous evening. There was quite a lot to pick from, including pastries, cereals and milk, juice, cheese, ham, bread, jam, butter, and honey. We ate outside at the table and chairs, which every room has on a balcony or similar space. Some rooms are on the ground floor or have a small pool. For more privacy, I'd ask for an upper-floor room, perhaps facing the back of the building. Our room was small, quiet, clean, and had what we needed. It was tidied daily and the bed was made, though I think the towels were replaced just once, after we left them on the floor. The in-room coffee machine came with four free capsules, and the little fridge fit a large water bottle. The pool was clean and had a couple of sunbeds.

We appreciated being tucked away on a side road, where it was peaceful but restaurants and everything else were still close by. The staff welcomed us warmly, made the hotel feel cozy, and gave us good ideas for trips, restaurants, and places to see. 13 Keys is a small, comfortable place that suited a relaxing holiday. Our room was clean and tidy, with everything new and well maintained. Having breakfast brought to our room so we could eat on the balcony was especially nice and gave us a bit of privacy.

The family who runs the hotel and the staff made the stay feel personal. They were warm, kind, and helpful. The building has a lovely modern Greek style, and our room was spacious and comfortable. It's only a short walk from the busy main street, so the atmosphere felt calm, with a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains.
