Breakfast was included, delivered to our room, and was food you actually want to eat, which is rare. Having it on the patio overlooking the caldera was pretty great. The rooms are all in caves, but ours didn’t feel cramped. Most or all rooms have a patio facing the water, and most have a hot tub there. The staff, like everywhere else in Santorini, were super friendly. We got a very reasonable rate, but that wasn’t what made this place spectacular. We loved it and can’t wait to come back.

The view was amazing, and so was the breakfast. I really loved our stay here. Highly recommend.

The room is beautifully designed, stays cool through the day because of its materials, and has absolutely breathtaking views. Breakfast was excellent, and the heated pool was a nice touch. The location is close to everything without being in the most crowded part. We stayed at Visanto in what I believe is called the Grand Cave, the only room with a private pool. Since there isn’t much to do in Santorini, you spend a lot of time in your room, so it really needs to be worth it. A few things fell short for a place promoted as a luxury experience. A window beside the pool belongs to the neighboring room’s bathroom, which wasn’t ideal for privacy or atmosphere. The air conditioning unit on the wall by the pool made a constant, loud metallic hum, like a vibrating motor. The hard plastic sunbeds got so hot in the sun they could burn your skin, even with towels on. Rattan, wood, bamboo, or PVC would be more comfortable and suited to the climate. Also, in this part of Oia, as in most of the village, the sun doesn’t actually set into the sea, so the famous sunset view isn’t quite as spectacular from here.

We visited Santorini during the first week of May, when the weather was pleasant and it wasn’t too crowded. The view was truly amazing, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I absolutely loved my stay. Highly recommend!
