Ms. Petridou and the staff were so kind and accommodating, and they really do make you feel like family. I stayed four nights at Lava Oia's in the cozy Honeymoon suite, which had a lovely traditional feel. The view was breathtaking, looking out over the village and the Aegean Sea. I think it’s among the best a hotel in Oia can offer. The location is great too: just up a set of stairs to the main road, then you can continue into the pedestrian-only town. If you want a great view, good accommodation, friendly staff, and a convenient location, Lava Oia's is the place to stay.

The cave house stayed comfortably cool all day, and the view was amazing. It’s also less than a five-minute walk to the center, close enough to be convenient but away from the extra crowds and noise. There weren’t too many steps to get down, either. We had a lovely stay with a lovely host and would happily come back again and again.

Pipitsa is such a warm and wonderful owner, and Lava Oia's made our stay in Oia a delight. It’s hard to imagine a more perfect place in Santorini, one of the world’s most famously picturesque spots.

Pepitsa made us feel so well looked after and brought a generous breakfast made with local products every morning. Our cottage-like room was beautiful, built into the cliffs, with air conditioning, wifi, a modern bathroom and other useful amenities. The ocean views were amazing, and people were always stopping at the top of the cliffs to take pictures. We’re already looking forward to returning.

The views from our doorstep were stunning, and the cottages felt like a more authentic experience than the touristy hotels along Santorini’s cliffs. Piptisa has turned Oia’s caves into charming homes with artful architecture. She brought us the breakfast we chose each morning and shared great ideas for places to visit and things to do around the island. Staying at Lava Oia's was the highlight of our family trip to Greece and exceeded all our expectations. I’d highly recommend it.
