The breakfast was the one real letdown. It arrived cold in the room, the toast was just cold bread, and there wasn’t a proper bowl for cereal. We tried ordering it on two of our four days, then started going to a cafe two minutes away instead. I’m not sure buffet breakfast works well with how hotels in this area are laid out. What made us choose Northwind was its easy access, prime location, and reasonable price, and I’m glad we stayed. There are no stairs to navigate, which is a big plus in Oia, where many Caldera-view hotels sit far below and involve lots of slippery steps with luggage. Northwind is right across from the caldera, so you can enjoy the area while still having peace and privacy. Our room was spacious, the staff were nice, and restaurants and coffee shops were within walking distance. The public bus to Fira stops outside, so we used it to get to the old port and avoided an expensive taxi. We also enjoyed the outdoor hot jacuzzi in our room one afternoon. We had a great stay, especially for couples.

The view was awesome, the room was clean, and the breakfast spread was good. We had a lovely stay, even with the sandstorm on Day 1. Electra welcomed us and got us settled quickly, then promptly followed up on our questions over the next few days. The rest of the crew were great too. It’s around a 10-15 minute walk to Oia’s main area, though a supermarket with an ATM is only 3 minutes away and there’s a bar on site. I really loved my stay. Thank you, Electra and team!

The location was really convenient, and I’d happily stay again or recommend it. Our modern, clean room had a lovely hot tub, and the hotel pool and bar area were relaxing too.

A last-minute ferry cancellation meant we booked two suites, and I’m glad we did. Both rooms were gorgeous, and service and breakfast were excellent. We could eat in our suite or by the lovely communal pool, which has its own bar. It’s a short walk from Oia, close enough to town but quiet. I couldn’t recommend this place more and will definitely come back.

The room was spotless and cozy, with an amazing view, and everything around the hotel felt peaceful and well cared for. The staff were so kind and helpful, always making us feel welcome. With the best views and restaurants just steps away in the heart of Oia, we’d absolutely stay again.
