The porter was helpful with our luggage, and the view was the one good part of the stay. The AC didn’t work, though the owner already knew it was faulty. I’m an AC mechanic and could tell it was very old. After we complained, workers came to fix it and made a mess in the terrace and living area. We got half a day of working AC during our two-day stay in very hot weather. The jacuzzi looked murky compared with others. The owner blamed us for oils and creams in the water, although we hadn’t used any because the porter warned us not to. The room had a strong sewer smell whenever we returned, almost like dirty feet, and the bed linen smelled disgusting too. I’d advise against staying at Oia Collection.

The porter was helpful, though we could tell the season had been tough and patience was running out. Our room was huge, clean, and had a great view, but the whirlpool bubbles barely worked and its cleaning system didn’t either. Dirt kept collecting on the surface. They cleaned it in the morning, but within minutes it was dirty again. That was a shame since the whirlpool was the main reason we booked. The room is right beside a small public path, but luckily it didn’t get much traffic.

The room looked nice and the view outside was lovely, but you can’t see the sunset from here. After five days without a response, I contacted the staff again, angry. They eventually replied, but I felt they lied to and harassed me. They kept blaming me for contacting the wrong person, even though I used the contact listed in the booking email. First they said the responsible person knew nothing about my questions, then admitted they knew about the problems and had “sent someone few days ago to fix them.” Nobody came, and nobody seemed to care. I ended up blocking their number. There were several problems from day one. The jacuzzi didn’t work, and nobody responded when we reported it, even though it was one reason the room cost more. They also said it would be cleaned daily, but it was only cleaned once after we contacted them again, and the pool was full of dirt after a few days. The sheets and towels were clean but smelled of humidity or mold. The safe didn’t work, so we had to carry our valuables everywhere. There were only three hangers, and when we asked for more, we were ignored and had to leave our clothes on the sofa or floor. The inside “cave” walls are mostly fake, made of drywall or gypsum, and the cleaning mop smelled very bad. The staff attitude was a disgrace to the tourism industry. I strongly recommend not booking here.

Our honeymoon got off to a very bad start with this host. They sold us a room that wasn’t the one we expected, then demanded more money for the room we had originally booked. Because of their poor attitude, we booked elsewhere, and they still kept our hard-earned money. We later learned this apparently isn’t unusual, sadly, after the car rental company cheated us at the end of our trip. Don’t book with these people if you don’t want to be scammed. I’m happy to explain the details to anyone who contacts me. Their business practices felt very tricky and extremely immoral.
