Hotel Aqua Blue Corfu

The scenery is breathtaking, but the rooms, food, and service are mediocre. It was so-so, nothing more. I wouldn’t recommend it for seniors because the walk uphill from the beach to the rooms is quite a trek.

The food is very good, and the drinks are great too, especially the local brandy and the beer. There are two pools and plenty of free sunbeds. The cottages are on a hill with a steep climb, but the rooms are clean and serviced daily, with a kettle, fridge, TV, and AC. There are chairs and a table on the terrace, and it’s a beautiful, quiet, peaceful place. We went in the second half of May. It cost 2700 PLN per person for eight days. I highly recommend it. PS: Young couples with children, don’t come here, you won’t find anything for yourselves.

The location is lovely, but that didn’t help when I was stuck in the bathroom for days. I got food poisoning on day one of my week-long stay and spent the rest of it in my room. Before that, I’d been put in a dark, cold, neglected room facing bushes instead of the superior sea-view room I booked. It felt like an upstairs cottage from the 1980s with no proper windows. After I complained, they moved us to a slightly better room. My friends were given the wrong room too. There was barely any clean towel or bed linen, the food was bland and repetitive, and the receptionists had a hard time understanding English. If this warning saves even one person, that’s a win.

The hotel's one real plus was its location. The food was very repetitive, and the room's damaged window kept us from enjoying natural light and ruined the view. From the first day there were ants and even wasps inside, which was completely unacceptable. The air conditioning was dirty and smelled musty, as if it hadn't been cleaned before the season. Cleanliness and upkeep were poor throughout: cobwebs and dirt on the floor, mirrors, and shelves were obvious right after check-in. The bathroom was especially neglected, with mold and no shower curtain, so water flooded the floor and made it slippery.
