Matthew is always on the go, helping everyone, and Jacob greets you with a big friendly smile and serves breakfast in the morning. The staff were much friendlier than I expected, and the rooms were just what we needed, spotless, and cleaned daily, with the bed changed every day. The bar does generous lunches for less than the nearby restaurants. I’d heard from Thomsons about building work behind the hotel, but there was nothing to worry about. One morning I saw a crane, lorries, and men working, yet we couldn’t hear the work from the hotel. They only worked until about midday. This is a 3-star hotel. If you’re used to 5-star places, pay extra and book one. I arrived without expectations and was pleasantly surprised. I couldn’t fault this hotel and would definitely stay again.

Matthew is the biggest plus here. He seems to do everything, always with a smile, and is charming and helpful, with nothing too much trouble. The location is perfect for the beach and restaurants, and there’s a bus stop just up the road for getting to other parts of the island. It’s a small, basic hotel with breakfast included. The rooms are adequate, as you’d expect from a two- or three-star place. Room cleaning was very hit and miss and needs improvement.

A good place for guests to mingle, and a great spot if you want a simple, friendly hotel. It’s close to the beach restaurants and to the main road, where eating and drinking is much cheaper. The staff were great. Matthew, as other reviews say, works hard and seems to do everything apart from breakfast, always with a smile. The chef was cheerful each morning, ready with freshly cooked free eggs and tea. There was nice coffee, toast bread, cereal, yogurt, and spreads, a typical simple Greek breakfast. The bar wasn’t well stocked, but we could always get a cold beer, much appreciated when we arrived late at night. Our shower broke during the stay and was fixed by the time we got back to the room. We booked a cheap Thomsons late deal. I can’t see how the hotel makes much from Thomsons. If you want somewhere simple and welcoming in a great location, this is for you.

The location is really good, and the staff are friendly. It’s important to judge a place like this by value for money instead of comparing it with a five-star hotel. If I were being very picky, breakfast could have a little more choice, and some moving parts on the furniture and cupboards could use WD-40.
