The owners were so friendly and helpful, and kept both the hotel and rooms spotless. It’s ideally placed for walking to lovely bars, restaurants, shops, and excursion spots. Whether you're travelling as a family, a couple, or on your own, it’s a great base to relax and enjoy beautiful Crete. Superb holiday, hotel, and people. Highly recommend.

The mountain view from our balcony was lovely. The hosts, Manoś and Orla (I have no idea how to spell their names 🤣), are brilliant, friendly, helpful, and always up for a laugh. This was my first trip abroad and I'm so glad we picked this place. We've already booked again for next year and can't wait to return!

Manolis and the family are fantastic hosts and nothing is too much trouble. The family-run apartments are clean and perfectly serviceable, though you shouldn't expect luxury at this price. It's close enough to the tourist hotspots to reach them easily, but far enough away that they don't bother you. Prices are very reasonable. I'd definitely recommend it and go back.

For food, shop around for prices. We really recommend Areston Taverna, just a 500m walk downhill, though the climb back felt like 3km 🤣. Our family of four had a main course each and alcoholic drinks for 40 euro. The food was fantastic and the service friendly. These are 3 star apartments, so we knew they’d be basic. A friend who's been here 12 years in a row recommended them, and now we see why. The place is spotless, the staff are fantastic, and it's central to Old Hersonissos, New Hersonissos, Piskapiano, and Koutouloufari. I can imagine us returning for a chilled week in the Cretan sun.
