The flat was spacious, tastefully decorated and well equipped, tucked into a really cute, quiet part of the old town. It's also super central in rethimno. The owner was so helpful and accommodating: she helped us find parking at the last minute, shared loads of good tips for things to do nearby and left us some homemade traditional Cretan spirit, rakomelo, as a treat. We'll definitely stay there next time we're in rethimno.

We stayed between Argyro house 1 and 2. My friend booked 2 upstairs, while 1 is on the bottom floor. Margarita was there to help us get settled and greeted us with a welcome rakomelo shot. There's room for a small family, with another room beyond the traditional outdoor breakfast table. She also suggested places to visit and eat.

Margarita was very kind and helpful. Although checkout was at 12, she let us stay a few extra hours so we could work on our laptops. We were in Argyro House II on the ground floor, a nice, spacious place in the old town, close to restaurants and the fort :)

The hostess, Mrs Margarita, is a lovely person and gave me all kinds of information about the city. The old town of Rethymno is only a short walk away. It's a wonderful place for a holiday, with everything you need, so you almost forget you're away from home.
