Fonte D' Oro Luxury Rooms

Our experience across two different rooms made the reviews seem pretty uneven. In the first room, where the kids had extra beds, the main door was right beside reception, so close we could answer their phones. There were no windows, and it smelled of paint or some other chemicals, which matters if fresh air matters to you. The second room was nice for a couple, but once they opened the sofa bed for the kids, its thin mattress and iron bar down the middle made the space really cramped for four. We managed, though. The Wi-Fi didn't work, which I later saw mentioned in other booking reviews, and we needed it for our trip. In the morning, the built-in stove caused a short circuit and the electricity went off. The toilet seat was broken too. The service was kind, and the person at reception seemed very uncomfortable about everything that happened that day. I hope your stay goes much better. For what we experienced, it was clearly poor value.

The location was fbtastic, and this was a great place to stay. Highly recommend it.

The rooms looked just like the pictures, with lovely design and everything very clean. We stayed in July, and the owners went above and beyond to make our time in beautiful old town rethymnon even better. It deserved more than five stars. I'd stay here again whenever I visit!

We had a perfect stay and will definitely come back. This place deserves more than five stars. If you're looking for a room in Rethymno, it's the best choice you can make.
